I don’t know if you remember Mister Davey, an independent animator who created some very dark parodies inspired by My Little Pony around 2012–2014.

When I was a kid, his videos really left an impression on me and even scared me a little. Now that I’m older, I realize how much the internet can impact you when you’re young.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to this artist. Not to track him down, just out of curiosity, and because I hope he’s doing well — that he found a calmer and happier life away from the pressure of the internet.

This message is mainly to share a memory that really stuck with me and to remind everyone that we need to be careful about what children can come across online.
